about

Hi! I’m Charlie, and I’m a lifelong storyteller and creative (as you can tell from that picture of me circa 2006). As a neurodivergent lesbian, I strive to represent the communities I’m from in my work. I’m extremely passionate about diverse and intersectional narratives, and most of my work is centred on in depth character exploration. Don’t get me wrong though, I love a good fairy tale or romcom!

Education

I graduated from Etobicoke School of the Arts in June of 2022 after majoring in drama & film. I’m also set to graduate June 2026 from Toronto Metropolitan University’s Media Production program, with a concentration in screenwriting and a minor in English.

Experience

Within my four years at ESA, I had numerous opportunities to write & create short films. During my time in the RTA Media Production program, I have gained a variety of skills in many areas of film & television production, especially in terms of screenwriting + creative writing. I was fortunate enough to participate in many student film shoots in a handful of roles, as well as write, produce, and direct a short film for the school’s 48 hour film festival. I also have experience in creating and running social media accounts for businesses, and am currently in charge of Bay Street Video’s Tiktok account.
